If you can see condensation forming and clearing inside the lid, no additional water is needed. Only consider watering if the plants begin to look dry or stressed.

To add water:

1. Slowly and carefully remove the rubber base
2. Add just a few drops of water — less is more
3. Ensure the inside edge of the rubber base is clean
4. Reattach the lid securely

The lid section does not contain isopods or springtails. The only ongoing maintenance required is light plant trimming if growth begins to encroach into the lid area.
