Hello! Need help? Reach out, we don’t bite (unless you’re Aphids)
If you’ve added one of our Mixed Bloom Bioactive Terrariums to your collection, welcome to your very own miniature ecosystem. This terrarium combines two distinct environments, each working together to create a balanced and visually dynamic display.
Here’s everything you need to know to keep your Mixed Bloom thriving.
The lid of the Mixed Bloom Bioactive Terrarium functions as its own mini terrarium. Just like most terrariums, it follows a natural condensation cycle.
If you can see condensation forming and clearing inside the lid, no additional water is needed. Only consider watering if the plants begin to look dry or stressed.
To add water:
The lid section does not contain isopods or springtails. The only ongoing maintenance required is light plant trimming if growth begins to encroach into the lid area.
The base of the Mixed Bloom Bioactive Terrarium is a fully bioactive environment, home to springtails and isopods. These tiny clean-up crew members help maintain balance by breaking down waste and preventing mould.
This section requires the same low-maintenance care as our other bioactive terrariums.
For detailed care instructions, please visit our Bioactive Terrarium Maintenance blog, where we cover humidity, placement, and long-term care to keep your ecosystem happy and healthy.
The Mixed Bloom Bioactive Terrarium is designed to be simple to care for while offering something a little extra — a layered, living display that rewards gentle observation rather than constant intervention.
When in doubt, remember: observe first, adjust slowly, and avoid overwatering.
If you ever have questions or concerns, we’re always here to help 💚
